Kan joined DNX Ventures’ US office in April 2024, bringing a wealth of experience from major Japanese corporations. After graduating from the School of Law at Waseda University, he began his career at a leading real estate developer. There, he gained valuable experience in condominium development project management before moving to the corporate legal department, where he supported the company’s expansion into China and Southeast Asia.

His career then evolved into the dynamic world of Corporate Venture Capital (CVC), where he engaged in startup/VC investments and collaborative projects with emerging companies. Prior to joining DNX Ventures, he worked in the new business development and CVC division of a major insurance company, further broadening his expertise in innovation and investment.

At DNX Ventures, Kan leverages his diverse background in Japanese blue-chip companies to primarily focus on supporting open innovation initiatives (Partnerships) for partner companies. His unique blend of legal knowledge, project management skills, and CVC experience positions him as a valuable asset in fostering collaborations between established corporations and innovative startups.
